Abstract

Site CA-SDI-10071 is a Kumeyaay/Iipay site located on Otay Mesa in south San Diego County. It is situated near an ephemeral drainage (Johnson Canyon) and has yielded AMS radiocarbon dates between 8000 BP and 2500 BP. Two metate fragments, a scraper, and a biface were submitted for a combination of pollen, starch, and protein residue analysis.
