Analysis shows consistent IOP measurement accuracy with a non-contact tonometer in normal individuals, suggesting reliability of the device.
Fifty readings were taken with the non‐contact tonometer on 16 men with normal IOP. There was a decrease in IOP on successive measurements of about 1 mm Hg. The median of any three successive readings was always within ± 2 mm Hg of the average of all 50 measurements.
