This research reports genome sequencing of Bacillus cereus strain riobravensis, suggesting its relevance in food safety.
We report the draft genome sequence of Bacillus cereus strain riobravensis, isolated from white sorghum dough. Sequencing was performed using the Illumina MiSeq platform. The assembly yielded a gapped chromosome of 5,320,738 base pairs and an ungapped plasmid of 30,676 base pairs encoding 5,468 genes.
