Curriculum enhances environmental awareness and collaboration for sustainable development in higher education.
The ECOUNITY curriculum is designed as a modular learning package focused on increasing the environmental awareness of higher education students and fostering their collaboration with local actors for Sustainable Green Development (SGD). The curriculum is structured into four primary thematic modules that address modern sustainability challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective: Green Economy: Focuses on the transition to environmentally sustainable economic models. Social Responsibility and Sustainable Finance: Explores the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into financial decision-making. Environmental Protection and the Agri-Food Sector: Examines biodiversity protection and sustainable practices within agriculture. Sustainable Urban Development and Smart Cities: Covers the management of urban environments to ensure ecological resilience and smart, participatory growth.
