The Confusion Assessment Method (CAM) is a versatile tool for assessing the incidence and risk factors of postoperative delirium in older patients across various clinical settings.
This is the authors' abstract. We don't add key points for this paper.
We identified that CAM could be implemented in different settings for assessing POD. The incidence and risk factors for POD introduced can be used for future research to target these potential indicators. The incidence rate, risk factors, and predictors of POD explored can provide robust evidence for clinical practitioners in their daily practice.
Supports CAM use for postoperative delirium screening across settings; extends evidence on incidence, risk factors, and predictors in older adults.
