Analysis reveals improved efficiency in solar cells using graphene perovskite layers, indicating potential advances in solar energy.
In this study, we introduce a solar cell reconstruction using copper-graphene-perovskite sulphur as active materials, harnessing the exceptional properties of graphene. Through meticulous analysis with the solar cell capacitance simulator (SCAPS-1D), we explored the influence of the perovskite layer's thickness on overall performance. Optimising the layer at 0.7 μm thickness and a 1.5 eV band gap yielded remarkable efficiency at 20.75%. The optimised cell displayed a fill factor (FF) of 85.77%, short-circuit current density (Jsc) of 28.35 mA/cm-2, and open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.90 V. These findings highlight the significance of CZTSSe as a vital p-type semiconductor, advancing solar energy through perovskite absorbers. This research represents a pivotal step towards efficient and sustainable solar cell technology, offering a promising pathway to a greener, more energy-efficient future.
