Abstract

In this case, iNO may have served as a bridging therapy, improving oxygenation until immunosuppressive treatment was effective. iNO may serve as a useful interim measure for avoiding ECMO in collagen vascular disease-associated respiratory failure, particularly when pulmonary hypertension is suspected.
