Key Points

  • The study aims to clarify the clinical presentation and diagnostic role of AS-OCT in conjunctival neurofibromas.
  • Case report of isolated conjunctival neurofibroma
  • Use of anterior segment optical coherence tomography
  • Immunohistochemical analysis of the tumor
  • Conjunctival neurofibroma mimicking other tumors like myxomas
  • AS-OCT reveals specific features aiding diagnosis
  • Immunohistochemical profile provides diagnostic pointers

Abstract

Conjunctival neurofibromas can clinically mimic conjunctival myxomas and conjunctival stromal tumors (COSTs). This article aims to highlight clinical and immunohistochemical pointers and the features of anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) in conjunctival neurofibroma.
