Objective. To analyze the impact of Brexit on the UK pet importation regime and the Animal HealthCertificate (AHC) requirements for dogs and cats from countries not listed in Part 1. Results. Brexiteliminated the validity of the European pet passport. Dogs from Peru must comply with the full protocol: ISOmicrochip, rabies vaccination, RFFIT/FAVN ≥0.5 IU/mL after a 30-day wait, and three additional postserology months (minimum 4.5-month process). Conclusion. The AHC issued by an official veterinarian isthe central document of the post-Brexit process.
