26 patients with idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias (VAs), including idiopathic ventricular tachycardia (VT) and premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), with acute successful radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) at the superior portion of the mitral annulus (SP-MA), out of 437 consecutive patients. Mean age 61 ± 9 years, 53.8% male. No significant coronary artery disease or structural heart disease. Failed beta-blocker or at least one antiarrhythmic drug therapy.

Intervention

Radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) at the superior portion of the mitral annulus (SP-MA)

Outcome

Electrocardiographic and electrophysiological characteristics of VAs with acute successful RFCA at the SP-MA

SP-MA VAs are a distinct subgroup where unipolar EGM features like the QRS-Uni interval can help guide successful radiofrequency catheter ablation.
