Clinical Features of Ischemic Stroke during Treatment with Dabigatran: An Association between Decreased Severity and a Favorable Prognosis

15 patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF)-associated ischemic stroke who had been prescribed dabigatran, admitted to a single center in Japan.

Regular use of dabigatran (last medication administered within 12 hours prior to stroke onset).

Discontinuation of dabigatran (suspended for more than 24 hours, all patients in this group had stopped for >5 days).

Stroke severity assessed by National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score on admission and modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score at discharge.surrogate
