The article is devoted to the study of the organizational and economic mechanism for increasing the efficiency of economic activity of vertically integrated agro-industrial structures. It emphasizes the importance of vertical integration as a tool for reducing costs, optimizing production processes and improving coordination between different links of the production and distribution chain. The main tasks of vertically integrated agro-industrial structures, their advantages and disadvantages, as well as factors affecting their sustainability and efficiency are considered. The key elements of the efficiency improvement mechanism are organizational and economic measures, innovative technologies, as well as socio-ecological aspects. The article emphasizes the need for an integrated approach to managing vertically integrated agro-industrial structures in the context of a changing external environment, globalization and environmental challenges. Directions for further research are proposed, including the development of new methods for assessing efficiency and integration with small and medium enterprises.
