Surface electrocardiography analysis of QRS morphological patterns and vectors can discern sites of myocardial activation for idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia.
Surface ECG analysis of QRS morphology and vectors is a useful tool for identifying the anatomical origin of left ventricular outflow tract tachycardias.
ECG QRS analysis may aid ILVT origin localization; leaves open prospective validation before routine use.
Surface electrocardiography (ECG) is a useful tool for identifying the sites of origin of ventricular tachycardia (VT) or premature ventricular contractions. Despite limitations such as chest wall deformities and metabolic and drug effects, the analysis of QRS morphological patterns and vectors can discern sites of myocardial activation. Numerous reports about the ECG features of idiopathic left ventricular VT have been published. This review summarized typical ECG characteristics according to the VT sites with anatomical considerations of the left ventricle, including the outflow tract and epicardium.
