Should not yet change ICD decisions in Brugada VT; hypothesis-generating case report requiring prospective validation.
Case Report (n=1)
Quinidine therapy was effective and well-tolerated in resolving high-burden ventricular tachycardia in an elderly patient with incidentally diagnosed Brugada syndrome, avoiding the need for an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.
Jaber et al. (2023) conducted a case report in Brugada syndrome (n=1). Quinidine was evaluated on Resolution of ventricular tachycardia. Quinidine therapy effectively resolved ventricular tachycardia in a 74-year-old male with Brugada syndrome, obviating the need for an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.
