Conceptual framework explores how trust impacts human resource management practices.
Abstract This paper offers a critical review of the literature exploring the building and development of trust in the workplace as a factor affecting human resource management in the organization. Trust is a construct built over time; thus, it depends essentially on the nature of the trusting relationship, which entails a double challenge: earning and winning trust. Our contribution highlights the linkage between HRM and trust in the Workplace. This paper aims to respond to the following question: How can trust in the workplace be a significant factor affecting human resource management? In this paper, the author uses a critical review method to provide a deep analytical evaluation of the concept of trust in the workplace as a real tool for human resource management. Then the author provides a conceptual framework.
