Why the study?
Hemorrhagic complications such as intracranial and gastrointestinal bleeding occur at a certain frequency during anticoagulant therapy with vitamin K antagonists or direct oral anticoagulants.
Summarizes current strategies for managing hemorrhagic complications in patients on oral anticoagulants, emphasizing the appropriate use of specific reversal agents.
Guides reversal agent selection for anticoagulant bleeds; leaves open andexanet alfa role pending Japanese trial data.
