Micro-teaching is an effective teacher training technique that focuses on developing specific teaching skills in a controlled environment. This study examines the effectiveness of micro-teaching as a skill development programme in developing teaching skills among teacher trainees. Communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, are essential for effective teaching and learning. The present study highlights how micro-teaching sessions improve clarity of expression, confidence, questioning ability, and classroom interaction. The findings suggest that micro-teaching is an effective method for significant improvement in the overall teaching competencies of trainees actively participating in the micro teaching sessions. The findings further reveal that micro-teaching improves confidence, clarity of explanation, classroom interaction, and overall communication skills of the teacher trainees.
