Model reproduces electric charge spectrum in first-generation fermions, indicating new theoretical insights.
We present a simple discrete model that reproduces the electric-charge spectrum ( 0, ±1/3, ±2/3, ±1 ) of the first-generation fermions. The construction is based on a three-dimensional internal space in which each axis can contribute an elementary value 0,±1/ √3. The electric-charge magnitude is identified with the squared norm of the corresponding internal vector, yielding |Q| = n/3, where n is the number of occupied axes, while the sign of the charge is determined by the product of the component signs.
