Investigates control strategies to enhance performance in a three-level CLLLC resonant converter, indicating effectiveness through experimental validation.
To improve the performance of the three-level CLLLC resonant converter, this study initially presents the topology of the bidirectional three-level CLLLC resonant converter and conducts an analysis of its multiple operating modes, thereby summarizing the converter's operational characteristics under variable frequency phase-shift modulation. Subsequently, two control strategies are investigated: a variable frequency phase-shift modulation and a synchronous rectification control, each specifically designed for distinct operating modes. The effects of these control strategies on the bidirectional three-level CLLLC resonant converter are thoroughly assessed. Finally, extensive experimental validation performed on a constructed prototype confirms the efficacy of the proposed approaches.
