Randomized trial illustrates precise mapping of hydrogen atom relationships in glycosylamine derivatives, indicating structural validation.
Introduction: Two-dimensional (2D) NMR spectroscopy is crucial for determining the complex structure of organic molecules like N-Methyl-N-(naphth-2-ylmethoxy)-β-D-xylosylamine. Techniques like COSY, HSQC, and HMBC are essential for mapping molecular frameworks by revealing through-bond and through-space correlations between nuclei, which is necessary for resolving overlapping signals in glycosylamine derivatives. The goal was to use 2D NMR spectra to precisely map the spatial and bonding relationships of hydrogen atoms within N-Methyl-N-(naphth- 2-ylmethoxy)-β-D-xylosylamine, thereby verifying its complex structure by confirming connectivities. materials and methods: For the 2D NMR analysis of N-Methyl-N-(naphth-2-ylmethoxy)-β-D-xylosylamine, the material used was the pure synthesized compound dissolved in deuterated solvent (e.g., DMSO-d6 or CDCl3). The experiment was performed on a 400 MHz or higher field NMR spectrometer. Standard 2D NMR techniques such as COSY, HSQC, and HMBC were employed to elucidate the molecular structure and connectivity by observing proton-proton and proton-carbon correlations. The spectra were processed using appropriate software for peak assignment and interpretation. Material and Methods: The pure synthesized compound was analyzed using standard 2D NMR experiments (COSY, HSQC, HMBC) on a high-field spectrometer (400 MHz or higher), dissolved in a deuterated DMSO-d6 solvent. results: The 2D NMR results for N-Methyl-N-(naphth-2-ylmethoxy)-β-D-xylosylamine showed characteristic proton and carbon signals consistent with the structure. In the 1H NMR spectrum (400 MHz, CD3OD), aromatic protons appeared around δ 7.46–7.86 ppm, while sugar protons resonated between δ 3.16 and 4.92 ppm. The CH2 group linked to the naphthyl moiety appeared as a singlet at δ 4.92 ppm. The 13C NMR signals included aromatic carbons in the range of δ 126–134 ppm and sugar carbons around δ 60–77 ppm. These data confirm the molecular framework and substitution pattern of the compound. Results: H NMR showed aromatic protons between δ 7.46-7.86 ppm and sugar protons from δ 3.16 to 4.92 ppm. The CH2 group linking to the naphthyl moiety was clearly identified as a singlet at δ 4.92 ppm. 13C signals confirmed aromatic carbons ( δ 126-134 ppm) and sugar carbons ( δ 60-77 ppm). discussion: N-Methyl-N-(naphth-2-ylmethoxy)-β-D-xylosylamine was studied using two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy to elucidate its structural details. The 2D NMR spectrum provided clear correlations confirming the molecular framework and the connectivity between different functional groups, aiding in precise structural characterization. Discussions: The 2D NMR cross-peaks effectively confirmed the linkage of the β-D-xylosylamine moiety and the N-methyl substitution. These results provide robust structural characterization, supporting the compound’s potential utility in pharmaceutical synthesis Conclusion: N-Methyl-N-(naphth-2-ylmethoxy)-β-D-xylosylamine was studied using twodimensional NMR spectroscopy to elucidate its structural details. The 2D NMR spectrum provided clear correlations confirming the molecular framework and the connectivity between different functional groups, aiding in precise structural characterization.
