Abstract This paper describes the experience of the authors in introducing microcomputer usage into the accounting information, systems course of an accounting curriculum. Projects were identified that required students to devise ways to harness the microcomputer's capability to provide decision information in a useful format. Products and student critiques indicate a high degree of success in developing students into creative users of the microcomputer.
