Cultural discourse analysis explores the national image in English ceramic reports from the Belt and Road Portal, suggesting insights into international communication.
As a symbolic icon of Chinese civilization, ceramics play a crucial role in fostering people-to-people bonds under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Taking English ceramic news reports on the "Belt and Road Portal of China" as the research object, this paper adopts cultural discourse analysis theory to explore their discourse characteristics and construction logic in international communication. The study finds that through diversified narrative themes and positive evaluation resources, the platform has successfully constructed the national image embedded in ceramic culture.
