Randomized trial demonstrates genome assembly of Trifolium striatum in two haplotypes, highlighting genetic diversity.
<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly of <ns5:italic>Trifolium striatum</ns5:italic> (Knotted Clover; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Fabaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 372.17 megabases and 379.66 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.78%) is scaffolded into 7 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequence has a length of 284.37 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 134.01 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>
