Report analyzes electricity supply and demand compatibility in non-residential buildings during renewable expansion, suggesting improvements for adoption.
This report uses hourly electricity supply data for FY2030, when renewable energy is expected to expand. First, the characteristics of VRE and decarbonized electricity supply were analyzed for each electricity area. Based on this, the share of electricity consumption in standard non-residential buildings that can be met by VRE or decarbonized sources was calculated by region, building type, and time. Various analyses were conducted to assess the compatibility of supply and demand. By identifying differences and factors affecting compatibility, this study aims to provide insights into promoting the adoption of renewable energy.
