First Person interviews explore research on BMP signaling effects in stem cell behaviors and implications.
First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Samaneh Poursaeid is first author on ‘ Brinker regulates reciprocal outcomes of BMP signal between stem cells and differentiating cells’, published in JCS. Samaneh conducted the research described in this article while a postdoc in Dr Mayu Inaba's lab at the University of Connecticut Health Center (UConn Health), Farmington, CT, USA. She is now a postdoc in the lab of Dr Ivo Kalajzic at UConn Health, investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern stem cell plasticity and tissue regeneration.
