Concept of viability navigation enhances long-term sustainability in diverse systems, indicating new pathways for development.
This paper introduces the concept of Viability Navigation of Humans, Organizations, Society, and Civilization as one of the principal applied directions within the framework of Vitology as an interdisciplinary research program centered on system viability. Viability Navigation is understood as a continuous adaptive process through which individuals, organizations, social institutions, and civilizations recognize, evaluate, coordinate, and implement increasingly harmonious developmental trajectories while preserving the Norm of Harmony and progressively strengthening long-term viability. Unlike conventional approaches that often optimize isolated social, organizational, or economic objectives, Vitology considers viability navigation as a multidimensional scientific methodology integrating the Space of Harmony, Harmonious Combinations, Matrices of Harmonious Combinations, Algorithms of Viability Navigation, and the Evolution of Digital Twins of Viable Systems into a unified framework for informed decision-making and sustainable development. Particular attention is devoted to the relationship between Viability Navigation and the Norm of Harmony, the Integral Norm of Harmony, Awareness (Aw), Coordination (Con), Coordinated Systemic Integrity (CON), the Integral Model of System Viability (Aw → Con → CON), Feedback, Self-Regulation, Regeneration, Adaptation, Integral Systemic Conscience, Systemic Noise (Noise), artificial intelligence, and the continuous strengthening of the long-term viability of human beings, organizations, society, and civilization.
