this study explores the structural, semantic, and pragmatic characteristics of sports media discourse in English and Uzbek newspapers and digital publications. Analyzing a selected corpus of 150 sports news headlines and match commentaries, the paper examines how linguistic constraints, stylistic devices, and multimodal elements differ across analytical (English) and agglutinative (Uzbek) media environments. The findings reveal that while English media utilizes high-density conceptual metaphors and dynamic verb-driven headlines, Uzbek sports journalism heavily relies on lexicalized emotional intensifiers, hybrid loan-syntagms, and descriptive structural expansions to engage audiences.
