Although a great deal is known about the effects of hydrogen bonding in solid polymer systems, there has been little effort to organize this information. AS a result, it is still difficult to predict what the effects of hydrogen bonding in a given polymer system or blend will be, as well as what structural features will promote such interaction. Availability of predictive capability would be particularly valuable for the design of polymer blends and laminates where compatibility is normally difficult to achieve.
