Why the study?
To explore the application of CTA and echocardiography in predicting LAA thrombosis in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
Do computed tomographic angiography and echocardiography predict left atrial appendage thrombosis in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation?
Do computed tomographic angiography and echocardiography predict left atrial appendage thrombosis in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation?
Both CTA and RT-3D-TEE demonstrate high predictive value for identifying left atrial appendage thrombosis in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation.

CTA and RT-3D-TEE may aid LAA thrombus prediction in non-valvular AF; leaves open prospective validation and incremental value over CHA2DS2-VASc.
AIM: We aimed to explore the application of computed tomographic angiography (CTA) and echocardiography in predicting left atrial appendage (LAA) thrombosis in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to explore the predictive value of CTA and RT-3D-TEE for LAA thrombus. CONCLUSIONS: Both CTA and RT-3D-TEE had high predictive values for LAA thrombosis in atrial fibrillation patients.
