Stimulation of Angiotensinogen Release by Raised Blood Angiotensin Concentration in the Dog

Intravenous infusion of angiotensin II increased plasma angiotensinogen concentration in five anaesthetized dogs. 2. This increase was not a consequence of haemoconcentration but was associated with an increase in peripheral corticosteroid concentration. 3. Infusion of angiotensin II did not increase plasma angiotensinogen concentration in five adrenalectomized dogs.
