Hyperlipidemia may impair endothelial antithrombotic capacity via TFPI redistribution; hypothesis-generating and should not yet change practice.
Hyperlipidemia is associated with increased LDL/VLDL-associated TFPI and decreased free TFPI, which may reflect reduced antithrombotic function of vascular endothelial cells.
