Does virtual histology IVUS identify tissue characteristics associated with restenosis progression after carotid artery stenting?
Does virtual histology IVUS identify tissue characteristics associated with restenosis progression after carotid artery stenting?
VH-IVUS reveals that restenotic lesions after carotid artery stenting are primarily fibrous, but a larger fibro-fatty component is associated with progression to in-stent restenosis.
May aid VH-IVUS risk stratification after carotid stenting; hypothesis-generating for fibro-fatty components and stent design effects.
