Males comprised 60.0% (n=144) and females 40.0% (n=96) with a 1.5:1 male-to-female ratio; peak age occurred between 51–60 years in males and 41–50 years in females.
The rectum was the most frequent primary site (60.2%, n=145) while the descending colon was least affected (1.2%, n=3); exophytic occluding lesions represented 82.2% (n=198) of presentations.
Adenocarcinoma represented 77.2% of malignancies, stratified into well-differentiated (52.3%), moderately differentiated (32.8%), and poorly differentiated (14.9%) subtypes, with 38.6% of all 30-year cases presenting in the final 5 years.
