In patients with chest pain and normal coronary angiograms, impaired coronary flow reserve is associated with hypertension and LVH, suggesting primary microvascular dysfunction rather than a direct consequence of LVH.
Impaired CFR in hypertension or LVH may warrant microvascular assessment in symptomatic patients; leaves open whether LVH severity independently modulates reserve.
