Narrative review outlines the immuno-inflammatory tone meta-regulator across biological environments, highlighting natural interventions to correct chronic inflammatory imbalance.
The immuno-inflammatory tone meta-regulator is an integrative system that determines the global balance between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory signals in all tissues of the body. It is based on transcription factors NF-κB and NRF2/PPAR-γ, cytokine network (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, TGF-β), macrophage polarization (M1/M2), complement system, and interaction with the microbiome. The components of the regulator, mechanisms of activation and suppression of inflammation, quantitative parameters (cytokine concentrations, CRP, leukocyte formula, M1/M2 ratio) are described. The effect on twenty meta-environments of the body has been shown. Pathological conditions with imbalance (chronic metainflammation, autoimmune diseases, immunoparalysis) and methods of correction with natural products (omega-3 fatty acids, curcumin, resveratrol, quercetin, fermented foods, dietary fibers, modulation of the microbiome) are considered.
