Review outlines mechanotransduction pathways and tissue tensegrity across human organ systems, highlighting therapeutic mechanical and nutritional strategies for musculoskeletal and fibrotic...
A mechano-regulator is an integrative system that combines distributed mechanical forces (pressure, tension, compression, shear, vibration) and their conversion into biochemical signals (mechanotransduction) in all tissues of the body. It is based on mechanosensitive ion channels (Piezo1/2, TRP family), integrins, focal junctions, cytoskeleton, extracellular matrix, as well as tensegrity architecture of tissues. The components of the regulator, the mechanisms of perception and transmission of mechanical signals, quantitative parameters (elasticity, stiffness, pressure, deformation, velocity of wave propagation) are described. The effect on twenty meta-environments of the body has been shown. Pathological conditions with imbalance (fibrosis, osteoporosis, atrophy, contractures, hypertension, bedsores) and methods of correction by natural means (physical activity, vibration, massage, stretching, hydrotherapy, magnesium, vitamin D, collagen, adaptogens) are considered.
