Why the study?
Aortic root dilatation has emerged as a post-operative complication in long-term survivors of the Ross procedure.
Aortic valve-sparing root replacement (reimplantation) is a viable surgical option for treating aortic root dilatation and regurgitation late after a Ross procedure when valve leaflets are preserved.
May support valve-sparing reimplantation in select post-Ross cases with preserved leaflets; hypothesis-generating and requires prospective validation.
