Formal metaphysical analysis evaluates a personal ultimate ground model against impersonal alternatives, highlighting its role as an abductive explanatory framework.
This dossier presents an independently developed philosophical-formal framework for a Personal Ultimate Ground (PUG). The project separates formally checkable modal consequences from substantive metaphysical premises, constructs an explicit impersonal counter-model, and audits the inferential bridges connecting grounding, normativity, agency, reason-responsiveness, sourcehood and ultimacy. The principal model is presented as an abductive explanatory proposal rather than as a deductive proof of the existence of God. A separate single-premise benchmark assumes U* = ◇□P and shows that, under S5, ◇□P entails □P and hence P. The benchmark is deliberately classified as conditional because U* itself is not established. The dossier therefore makes a narrower and more defensible claim: the Personal Ultimate Ground is proposed as a potentially superior unifying explanation among the models examined, while the decisive metaphysical bridge excluding an adequate impersonal ground remains unproved.
