Why the study?
Neurological manifestations including ischemic stroke are common in hypereosinophilic syndromes, with hypothesized mechanisms of hypercoagulability, cardioembolism, and endothelial damage producing variable ischemic neuroimaging patterns.
Hypereosinophilic syndromes should be considered in the etiological evaluation of stroke, particularly when neuroimaging shows a border zone pattern without large artery steno-occlusion.

Alerts to mixed territorial-border zone strokes in HES; leaves open mechanistic confirmation and therapeutic trials.
