Left anterior hemiblock in AMI does not raise mortality or AV block risk; leaves open validation in contemporary reperfusion cohorts.
Does the presence of left anterior hemiblock increase mortality or complications in patients with acute myocardial infarction compared to those without conduction defects?
In patients with acute myocardial infarction, the presence of left anterior hemiblock does not increase the risk of mortality, severe heart failure, or complete AV block compared to those without conduction defects, in contrast to the poor prognosis associated with complete bundle branch block.
