A stabilized high-voltage low-current supply suitable for use as a voltage reference in the 1000 V region is described. With elementary temperature control a stability of ±1 part in 10 000 over a day is obtained. Effects due to stray varying magnetic fields of 15 gauss are less than 1 part in 30 000. A load current variation of 400 μA will alter the output by 1 part in 10 000. A load of several milliamps can be obtained.
