Phylogenetic analyses of the polyprotein coding sequences of serotype O foot-and-mouth disease viruses in East Africa: evidence for interserotypic recombination

Balinda et al. (2010) studied Foot-and-mouth disease (n=6). Phylogenetic analysis was evaluated on Phylogenetic relationships and recombination events. Phylogenetic analyses of serotype O foot-and-mouth disease viruses from East Africa identified a specific regional lineage (topotype EA-2) and evidence of interserotypic recombination with serotype A.
