Policy analysis demonstrates a multi-country macroeconomic forecasting framework across Eurasian Economic Union member states, highlighting tools for scenario simulation and shock assessment.
This paper analyzes the macroeconomic forecasting architecture of the Eurasian Economic Commission. It describes the institutional foundations and methodological toolkit, including a multi-country model for forecasting the economies of the Eurasian Economic Union member states. This model enables in-depth analysis of the member states’ economic dynamics, scenario simulation, and assessment of the economies’ sensitivity to external shocks. Practical aspects are considered, ranging from the stages of forecast development to communication policy and the publication of analytical reports. Proposals are formulated for improving the analytical system within the EAEU.
