A spinner magnetometer can be calibrated independently of magnetic materials by means of a wire loop. The calibration is given in terms of radius, resistance, spinning frequency and applied field. This calibration serves for both remanence and anisotropic susceptibility measurements. An electrical analogy to the anisotropic rock is discussed.
