In this paper, the synthesis process of a composite based on a Ti-Al-C mixture in the mode of dynamic thermal explosion with regard to product structurization is proposed. The model considers the key physicochemical regularities resulting in the evolution of the phase composition of the compacted sample for mixtures with 20 to 40 wt.% aluminum content. The effective thermophysical properties of the mixture containing the reactants and reaction products in the reactor depend on the properties of all constituents and on the temperature. The properties of the reaction products additionally depend on the structurization degree. The structurization process is described by a special additional parameter whose evolution is governed by a reversible reaction (including forward and reverse stages). It is assumed that the structurization process starts when the products appear and continues during cooling of the system. It is shown that the synthesized product is only partially in the structured state.
