Theoretical analysis reveals humanities trapped in a local attractor of group narration, indicating need to recognize broader projections beyond variable social worth.
We apply the 2D Heuristic of the Intelligible to the humanities, diag- nosing their local attractor: identity among many and group narration. The humanities are a projection of the intelligible — a resolution of ten- sion between competition and collaboration, self and other. However, they have become trapped in a local attractor, mistaking variable worth for invariant dignity. This paper does not dismiss the humanities — it locates them. The goal is not critique, but illumination: to show that the humanities are a real and necessary projection, but not the only one.
