Theoretical analysis demonstrates that hard sciences prioritize technological utility over ontological truth, highlighting limits in current scientific epistemology.
We apply the 2D Heuristic of the Intelligible to the hard sciences, diagnosing their local attractor: explanatory power and technological ap- plication. Science is a projection of the intelligible — a resolution of tension between abstraction and contingency. However, it has become trapped in a local attractor, mistaking technological utility for ontologi- cal truth. This paper does not dismiss science — it locates it. The goal is not critique, but illumination: to show that science is a real and necessary projection, but not the only one.
