Total aortic arch surgery using the frozen elephant trunk technique (stent graft mean diameter 27.7 ± 2 mm) with moderate hypothermia and antegrade cerebral perfusion.

The frozen elephant trunk procedure safely occludes most intercostal arteries without causing permanent spinal cord injury, provided adequate blood flow is maintained in subclavian and iliac arteries.
