A significant proportion of thromboembolic and bleeding complications after mechanical valve replacement occur while Thrombotest values are within the conventional therapeutic range, suggesting a need to reevaluate these targets.
Questions adequacy of standard Thrombotest range after mechanical valve replacement; leaves open whether revised targets reduce events.
