Qualitative discourse analysis reveals platformed satire translating civic grievances in youth video series, highlighting vernacular political critique under digital constraints.
Short-form video platforms increasingly host political critique outside parties and campaigns. This article analyzes Kelas Rakyat, a TikTok classroom-satire series by @acjoo, after Indonesia’s 2024 presidential election. Through qualitative Digital Discourse Analysis of 25 episodes and selective transcription of key satirical phrases, it shows how teachers, students, whiteboard scenes, slogan play, and acronyms translate disputes over authority, censorship, corruption, welfare, digital insecurity, and youth legitimacy into platform-compatible micro-scenes. The article develops platformed vernacular political critique to describe creator-led satire that converts locally recognizable idioms into public political judgment through platform affordances and political constraint.
